Anyone with the latest news about when InfoGlue 3.0 is ready for general availability? Last I heard was Q1 2010 and it is now Q3...

With a little insight in what's going on, my guess is that 3.0 will not be ready for use any time in the close future. I will happily hear something else from any of the Modul1 guys, though!
The main developer of InfoGlue, Mattias Bogeblad, has quit Modul1 to work for another company. I do not know if he will carry on working with InfoGlue there or not, but I am sure it will affect the future of IG, and in particular 3.0.

Yes, I heard about Bogeblad last week. Modul1 has promised me a plan for how they see their future participant in InfoGlue. It should be available in a couple of weeks or so.
Do you know if anyone at all is working on 3.0?

I've seen a very recent mail conversation that hints at a future for 3.0, but I don't know more than that.

Hi, This is my first post here. I've been looking at Infoglue for a while. Now, as I may have a project that matchs what Infoglue is intended for, I have some doubts, regarding some news read in this very post.
Version 3.0 is awaited for many months and the lead developer seems to have change his job (I suppose this is great news for him, congrats). And there isn't any fresh news about the future of this nice piece of software.
So my question is : is Infoglue still a solid choice considering these points ? It appears to have many qualities, and I hope its future will still be positive.

dmartin: An early beta release was given to us (larger customers) two days ago. It will be available for the rest of the community soon, I hope.

Hi, thank you for your answer. this upcoming 3.0b sounds good.
I'm still concerned about the future of this application and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Maybe an updated roadmap with some announcements may help to determine if a bet on this application on a fresh new project is riskless.
Anyway, I'd like to congratulate people for the good job done until now. Keep it up.

I've been working for 5 years on Infoglue for different clients. Some of them really want to know what's coming ; any insight would be really cool.
A new beta soon = good news. But what about the core team ? Who is part of the team ? professional or volunteer ? Is there any plan to include new members ? Is there any plan to re-structure the way the dev team communicate with the users (bug track, forum, mailing list, ...) ?
A roadmap for the product is needed but also a roadmap about the project and community management would be appreciated.

We are working hard on getting to a public IG 3.0 beta version. We have recognized the need to revitalize the community, please be patient and stay tuned for information about this.

I think we can consider Infoglue as partially dead unfortunately
There isn't any news since a long time, and the awaited 3.0 release is still not there...

Lot of people use Infoglue ... as it is open source, a fork is still possible if needed ...

Yes, it's possible... but the biggest the initial community is, the best are your chances to see a fork succeeding. I don't think Infoglue's community is big enough to survive a fork.
