Is there really such a thing as a free lunch?
Question: Is InfoGlue really free to use? Is there no catch?
Answer: InfoGlue is distributed under the GNU public license. This means you can do practically anything you want with the software so long as you keep the license file bundled with the distribution. You can use it any way you want including using it commercially although redistribution of it will require your software to follow the GPL rules as well. This is the nice thing about Open Source - there really is such a thing as a free lunch when it comes to the software. The nice thing about InfoGlue is that we try to make the maintenance and upgrade as easy as possible. This way you don't get any large hidden costs later on either. When it comes to implementation projects we don't pretend that to be free. An InfoGlue project will require most activities as all other cms-related projects include like information analysis, designs, template coding and integration logic.

What is InfoGlue?
Question: What in the world is InfoGlue and what can it do for me?
Answer: InfoGlue is an free, advanced Web Content Management System. It is used by organizations to control and improve their way of managing their external and internal websites. Please take a look at the feature list for a better view of what the platform can do for you or read the content management introduction on the site.

Ok - InfoGlue is free but what about support
Question: InfoGlue might be free but how can I get support if something goes wrong? Also - what if we need some help developing on the platform?
Answer: InfoGlue is indeed free to install and use. If you do it yourself you have the entire community of developers and other users to help you when you have problems. There are also companies that offers commercial support on InfoGlue. When it comes to updates and patches they are distributed for free and hsitorically we have released a new version every three months for a few years now. If you don't think you can implement InfoGlue yourself you can contact one of the consultant-companies offering knowledge on the platform. In the case you work with one of those you naturally demand support from them.

Initial login
Question: What user/password should I use initially to log on to InfoGlue CMS?
Answer: Use "administrator" with password 'changeit' to log on initially. We suggest the first thing you do inside is to change the password on administrator and create some ordinary users instead.

More support
Question: I'm in need of more help, where can I find it?
Answer: We utilize sourceforge for most of our project activity and we have set up mailinglists and discussion forums there. Usually you get a response in a couple of hours depending on when you post your question. If you got a problem - don't give up until you at least tried these channels
